Dharampur:Led by Sahil Bal’s impressive bowling (4 for 21),Pinegroove School,Dharampur,recorded an easy eight-wicket win over Sherwood College,Nainital,in the semi-final of the 3 rd Invitational T-20 Cricket Tournament to book their berth for final. Batting first,Sherwood College team was bundled out for 118 runs in 20 overs. Exploiting the early movement in the air,medium-pacer Sahil Bal ran through the Sherwood top-order claiming four wickets. Mansher and Salil chipped in with two wickets a piece as well for Pinegrove. From Sherwood College,Vikas was the highest scorer with 34 runs. In reply,Pinegroove achieved the target with ease. Parteek played a superb knock of 43 runs for the winning team. In another match,Mayo College Boys School,Ajmer,registered a seven-wicket win over Punjab Public School,Nabha. Hosts Pinegroove School will take on Mayo College,Ajmer,in the final.

St Stephens beat Blue Caps Academy

Chandigarh:Buoyed by Harinder’s knock of 70 runs and Saurav’s spell (5 for 18),St Stephen’s School,Sector 45,imposed a massive 179-run win over MCM Blue Caps Cricket Academy,Sector-36,Chandigarh,to enter the semi-final of the ongoing Satluj Panchkula Premier League being played at Satluj Public School,Sector 4,Panchkula. Batting first,St. Stephens School,Sector 45,Chandigarh,posted a huge total of 235 runs for the loss of six wickets in 25 overs. Harinder (70) and Saksham (59) were the main scorers for St Stephen’s team. In reply,M.C.M Blue Caps Cricket Academy,were bowled out for mere 58 runs in 9.3 overs. Saurav bagged a five-wicket haul to help St Stephen’s win the match.
