In a one-sided match,hosts Government Model Senior Secondary School,Sector 19,scored a narrow 20-17 win over Chandigarh Club,Sector 7 in the boys’ category in a league match of the Chandigarh Sub-Junior State Netball Championship which started in Chandigarh on Thursday.

In another league match of the day,KB DAV School,Sector 7,scored a 9-5 win over Shri Guru Harkishan School,Sector 40 while it was tough going for Government Model Senior Secondary School,Sector 35 as they scored a narrow 10-9 win over Government Model Senior Secondary School,Sector 35. In another league match of the day,Government Model Senior Secondary School,Sector 27 defeated Golden Club,Sector 19 with a margin of 16-11.

It was tough going for Star Club as they struggled to score a narrow 7-5 win over Government Model Senior Secondary School,Sector 19. In another match of the day,Moti Ram Arya Senior Secondary School,Sector 27 defeated Mount Carmel Convent School with a margin of 15-12 while Government Senior Secondary School,Sector 46 emerged as a winner with a 18-16 win in a match against Government Senior Secondary School,Sector 19.

In the last league match in the boys’ category,Sports Complex,Sector 7 defeated Star club with a margin of 18-9.

In the girls’ category,Government Model Senior Secondary School,Sector 19 scored a 16-11 win over Government Girls Model Senior Secondary School,Sector 18 while Sacred Heart School,Sector 26 defeated DAV Model School,Sector 15 with a margin of 9-7. In another league match,Government Model High School,Sect0r 28 defeated Mount Carmel School,Sector 47 with a margin of 11-8. A total of 28 teams from Chandigarh are participating in the tournament.
