A mega scholarship scheme for studying abroad was announced by the Healthyway Immigration in Chandigarh on Sunday. Under the scheme,scholarships worth Rs one crore will be provided to 160 students across Chandigarh,Punjab,Haryana,Himachal Pradesh,Uttarakhand and New Delhi.
For the scholarships,tests will be conducted in 11 cities across these states from June 1 to July 31. Beginning from Amritsar,tests will be held at Jallandhar,Ludhiana,Ferozpur,Chandigarh,Ganganagar,Delhi,Karnal,Dehradoon,Solan and Shimla. Students qualifying these aptitude tests will become eligible for the scholarship.
The top ten students will get 100 per cent tuition fee for a full year as scholarship. The next 20 students will get 75 per cent of a full years tuition fee,30 students will get 50 per cent of their tuition fee and 100 students will get one-way air ticket and refund of Embassy Fee.
Winners will be declared in a lucky draw to be held on August 7 in Chandigarh. Speaking on the occasion,Healthyway Immigration Consultant Private Limited MD Amit Kakkar said,For the first time,such a huge scholarship programme is being organised in North India by a Chandigarh-based Immigration Consultancy,and we are extremely happy to give this opportunity to students of North India. The scholarships will give students an opportunity to fulfill their dreams of studying abroad irrespective of their financial status.
