Putin arrived in Delhi on a two-day state visit for the 23rd India–Russia Annual Summit. He was welcomed at Palam airport by PM Modi, who greeted him with a hug before the two drove out together in the same car.
Over the course of the visit, Putin and Modi will hold talks centred on trade, investment, defence and broader economic cooperation. President Droupadi Murmu is also scheduled to receive Putin and host a state banquet in his honour.
