Nitin Raut biography

Nitin Kashinath Raut, apart from being a politician, is also a businessman and social activist from Maharashtra.

Raut served as the Cabinet Minister of Employment Guarantee and Water Conservation in the Government of Maharashtra until 2014.

Additionally, he has been the incumbent MLA of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly, where he defeated the BJP's Milind Mane of Nagpur North's constituency in the state assembly elections in 2019.

Raut also assumed the role of the Guardian Minister of Nagpur District Government of Maharashtra, from 09 January 2020 to 29 June 2022.

Being a social activist, Raut also works with Sankalp, an NGO, to provide social work and relief to Dalits and other underprivileged individuals during natural and man-made disasters.
