New Delhi, Mar 01 (ANI): Union Minister for Sanitation and Drinking Water Birender Singh said on Tuesday that Haryana would be fully developed only when there is enough clean water to drink for everyone. Birender said that under the 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan', the ruling dispensation will not leave any stone unturned to provide clean water facility in the villages. He added that soon the government will form a 'Panchvarshi' yogna, under which every village will get Rs 80 Lakh for the purpose of development.

Woman alleges gang-rape during Jat agitation in Haryana

Murthal, Feb 29 (ANI): Amid reports of mass sexual assaults during violent protests by the Jat community demanding reservation, a woman has come forward saying that she was raped by seven men during the violent protests. Haryana’s Deputy Inspector General of Police, Rajshree Singh informed that the police has registered a case and initiated a probe into the matter.Singh added the woman had also identified few perpetrators, one of them being her relative. He said that the woman claimed her 12-year-old daughter, who accompanied her in her car, was not raped but her clothes were torn apart.

Hisar, Feb 25 (ANI): Haryana Director General of Police Yashpal Singhal on Thursday denied the presence of any evidence in the alleged rape incident during the recent quota protests in Hisar, Haryana. A shopkeeper, Gulshan Dang, said, "I want to urge the Narendra Modi-led government to compensate our losses 100 percent without any delay." Another shopkeeper, Anil Kumar said that he is left with no source of income after his two showrooms were burnt down by the protestors. Sharma added that a special train from Chandigarh to Anand Vihar, New Delhi, would be on the tracks by the evening, which will have a total of 17 coaches.He further informed that Northern Railways is planning to start more trains from the Jammu region.
