After Paris woke up to a nightmare when at least 128 people were killed in a horrific gunfire in the city, some monuments and buildings around the world lit up to colors of French flag to express solidarity to the tragedy.

From the spire of the World Trade Center to the statue of Christ the Redeemer, the structures were lit up in hues of blue, white and red, to mourn the deaths and show support to France.

Even New York’s Empire State Building and the Wembley Stadium in London changed colours paying tribute to the Paris attack.

The CN Tower in Tronto and the Omni Hotel in Dallas, as tweeted by Dallas Morning News, were also seen in the tricolors.

Meanwhile, the Asian Art Musem on its Facebook page shared a picture of San Francisco City Hall lit up.
However, the lights on the Eiffel Tower in Paris were turned off to mourn the loss of lives.
