In a heartfelt incident, a langur in Bangladesh was seen walking into a pharmacy and seeking medical aid for its wound. According to the viral post, the incident occurred on March 7 in Meherpur, a town in the country.

In the footage, the langur could be seen sitting at the store counter while a man applied ointment to its wound and wrapped a bandage around it. Several other men caress the animal during the procedure. “An injured monkey wandered into a local area in Meherpur and, upon spotting a pharmacy, rushed inside for help. The incident occurred on the night of March 7 at Alhera Pharmacy in Meherpur town, where the monkey received initial medical attention,” the caption read.

Several social media users reacted to the video, with one saying, “love to see people caring for animals.” Another user commented, “The funny thing is if a human came asking for the same help they would kick him out.”

“The monkey has more IQ than the govt,” a third user reacted.

In January, a similar incident occurred when a mother dog carried her sick newborn to a veterinary clinic, clutching the puppy in her mouth. The incident was reported in Turkey at the Beylikdüzü Alfa Veterinary Clinic. The CCTV footage showed the dog entering the clinic with her unconscious puppy, who was suffering from hypothermia.

Speaking to the Associated Press, veterinarian Baturalp Doğan shared that his colleague, Emir, noticed the dog’s unusual behaviour and immediately acted. The puppy survived due to timely medical attention.
