Santhanam ready with next film as hero

Santhanam experimented in a lead role with Tamil comedy ‘Vallavanuku Pullum Aayudham’.

Comedian Santhanam, who experimented in a lead role with Tamil comedy ‘Vallavanuku Pullum Aayudham’ and emerged successful with it, is now game for another outing as a hero with a yet-untitled Tamil romantic-comedy.

“This film follows the success of ‘Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasaiya’ and ‘Vallavanuku Pullum Aayudham’, which created a huge fanbase for Santhanam. Ashna Zaveri and Akila Kishore are paired opposite him with a galaxy of stars waiting to join them,” read a statement.

Director duo Muruga-Anand will helm the film, which is likely to go on floors soon.

“We are grateful to Santhanam sir for spotting us and subsequently providing us a platform to showcase our talent. We will cater to the taste of Santhanam sir’s fans,” the co-directors said in a joint statement.

Meanwhile, Santhanam is busy with over a half a dozen films in his kitty.
