The break-up was hard on Jennifer. She was especially hurt by the fact that Angelina talked about Brad from the time when he was still married to Jennifer. Reacting to Angelina’s revealing details about her relationship with Brad, Jen had said in a 2007 interview, “There was stuff printed there that was definitely from a time when I was unaware that it was happening, I felt those details were a little inappropriate to discuss,” Aniston had said.

The Friends star had also opened up to Vanity Fair after the split with Brad. “Am I lonely? Yes. Am I upset? Yes. Am I confused? Yes. Do I have my days when I’ve thrown a little pity party for myself? Absolutely,” Jen had said about the separation which had divided the world in Team Jen and Team Angie. Reacting to a W magazine spread that showed Angelina, Brad and son Maddox playing a happy family, Jennifer had commented, “There’s a sensitivity chip that’s missing.”

Angelina filed for divorce from actor Brad Pitt after just two years of marriage. The 41-year-old star, who filed the legal documents on Monday, has cited irreconcilable differences as the cause of the split, reported TMZ.

She has asked for the physical custody of the couple’s six children and wants Pitt, 52, to have visitation. Jolie is apparently in favour of a joint legal custody.

Sources close to the couple say Jolie’s decision has to do with the way Pitt was parenting the children and she was extremely upset with his methods. Jolie is reportedly not asking for spousal support. She has listed the date of separation as September 15, 2016.

The news has not come as a surprise because the rumours of problems between the two had been there for past few months.

One of the most celebrated Hollywood couples, Jolie-Pitt tied the knot in August 2014 after 10 years of togetherness. Ironically, Jolie directed and starred opposite Pitt in 2015 relationship drama “By The Sea”, which was about a couple’s attempts to save their marriage.
