No no no. You aren’t still watching ‘Bombay Velvet’. This is Zoya Akhtar’s ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’ – a movie with an ensemble cast featuring Priyanka Chopra, Anushka Sharma, Ranveer Singh, Farhan Akhtar and Anil Kapoor.

But somehow Anushka Sharma carries forward the ‘Rosie’ from ‘Bombay Velvet’ and gyrates to the funky music with funkier lyrics in this new song titled ‘Girls Like To Swing’ from the movie.

Watch the song first:

So, in a ‘Bombay Velvet’esque manner, the ultra-fair Anushka woos her audience and most particularly Ranveer Singh, who goes “dhak dhak” with every swift move of the actress. But she is more interested in having fun with Priyanka Chopra.

So, she calls her up the stage and they both start “swinging” because as the title goes, “Girls Like To Swing”.

The song is peppy and best among the lot from the movie. Sunidhi Chauhan has infused a different energy into the song, as she always does in her songs. But somehow, the trio of Shankar Ehsaan Loy misses the mark.

The actresses – Anushka and Priyanka – are fun. They make you groove with them; so much so, that even Ranveer Singh wanted to dance with them. He tweeted too.

‘Girls Like To Swing’ is, in many ways, is a breath of fresh air, for it shows the actresses’ camaraderie like no other. Hoping for more treats like this.
