Kangana Ranaut prefers ‘Rangoon’ over Salman Khan’s ‘Sultan’

And Kangana Ranaut has, once again, managed to impress us, this time with her movie choice.

Kangana Ranaut is going from strength to strength and the success of ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ have just about proved her repertoire as the unabated ‘Queen’ of hearts, that too without the aid of acting opposite a Khan or Kapoor in a multi-budget movie.

Kangana was recently approached to be cast opposite Salman Khan in YRF’s ‘Sultan’, and it was reported that Aditya Chopra himself talked to Kangana about it. The role was said to be a lot meatier than those which actresses generally have in Salman’s movies.

However, the schedule for ‘Sultan’ clashed with that of ‘Rangoon’, which will be directed Vishal Bharadwaj. Kangana recently signed ‘Rangoon’ – a period drama – to be paired opposite Shahid Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan.

But there’s a reason why Kangana has come close to being called ‘Queen’. She had to make a choice between the two movies – one that would challenge her as an actress and the other that promises to become a superhit – and the talented actress chose the former – Vishal Bharadwaj’s ‘Rangoon’. And we certainly, are not surprised.

It seems along with rising in her career, Kangana Ranaut has to make some tough choices too, and she seems pretty good at that.
