BJP, who won the Guna Lok Sabha seat in 2019, decided to drop its sitting MP and field the former four-time MP from this seat, Jyotiraditya Scindia, as their candidate in 2024. This move can be a double-sided attack on Congress as Scindia is a former Congress member and also has a good historical background in this seat. Notably, Scindia lost the Guna Lok Sabha seat in 2019 against BJP’s Krishna Pal Singh Yadav as a Congress candidate.
