Shin Min A-Kim Woo Bin’s wedding story revealed, Ahn Bo Hyun tears up: ‘She carried rice sacks, prayed during his cancer battle’

She too found the teaching of the monk helpful, and Pomnyun revealed that the actor did a lot more than just stay by Kim’s side. When the actor’s health was at its worst, Shin carried sacks of rice on her head — a traditional Buddhist offering — and prayed at a statue of Avalokitesvara on Mt Nam in Gyeongju. He said that the couple had been on a spiritual journey together and that them standing together on their wedding day was a result of a “karmic connection”.

The Philanthropists 

The monk talked about Shin’s character at length and said that she and Kim had always been the kind of people who give back to society. The couple have apparently been supporting underprivileged children for many years now. Shin has also been heavily involved in helping patients, especially burn victims, to help cover their medical costs, and that too since 2015, the same year she started dating Kim. The husband has been donating anonymously for the betterment of underprivileged youths since 2014. He has also been making donations through the Asan Medical Centre in order to help children with cancer.

The charity did not stop on their special day, as the couple decided to tie the day with a very generous ribbon. The donated 300 million won (Rs 2 crore approx.) and several other year-end donations marked the special day.

An Emotional Friend

Another heartwarming moment came when actor Ahn Bo Hyun was seen visibly emotional during the wedding. He could be seen taking his glasses off, wiping his tears and choking up. It is an understandable reaction, as Ahn and Kim have known each other since they were teenagers making the rounds of modelling agencies. Apart from Shin, Ahn was another constant by Kim’s side during his battle with cancer.
