US President Donald Trump on Friday confirmed that he will speak at Charlie Kirk’s funeral this weekend. The funeral service of the 31-year-old will take place on Sunday, September 21, at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.
Ahead of Kirk’s funeral, the White House on Friday released a tribute video on the slain conservative activist.
The three-and-a-half-minute video features the remarks by his widow, Erika Kirk, when she spoke for the first time after he was assassinated in Utah on September 10.
There are also clips of the 31-year-old conservative activist giving speeches and media interviews on his wedding day, with his wife and two children and with Trump, along with scenes from memorials and vigils that have been held for him.
“’You have no idea the fire you have ignited.’ – Erika Kirk
The legacy of Charlie Kirk,” the White House captioned the video, posted on X.

Kirk, the co-founder and CEO of Turning Point USA, was one of Trump’s biggest supporters and played a key role in getting him re-elected in 2024. Trump himself has credited Kirk with helping him boost young voter turnout and win the White House.
On Thursday, Turning Point USA announced that Erika Kirk will be the new CEO of the organisation, which the late conservative activist co-founded in 2012 to galvanize young voters to Republican causes.
Erika was announced as the new CEO at a time when the future of Turning Point USA and its role in turning out young voters in next year’s congressional midterm elections has come under intense scrutiny since Kirk’s murder.
In a video address after Kirk’s murder, Erika, 36, signaled that she would be taking over her husband’s mission to recruit young Americans to conservative causes. Kirk shares her husband’s Christian faith and conservative values.
“You have no idea the fire that you have ignited within this wife; the cries of this widow will echo around the world like a battle cry,” she said.
Kirk was shot dead by Tyler Robinson, a 22-year-old from St. George, Utah, when he was speaking at an event at Utah Valley University on September 10.
