Hillary Clinton says she’d back Trump for Nobel Peace Prize on one condition
Clinton said that the upcoming Alaska summit could be Trump’s chance to make it clear to Putin that there must be a ceasefire, there will be no exchange of territory between Russia and Ukraine.

Former US First Lady Hillary Clinton said she would nominate President Donald Trump, her rival in the 2016 presidential election, for the Nobel Peace Prize if he can secure a lasting end to the war in Ukraine.
Speaking on Fox News co-host Jessica Tarlov’s Raging Moderates podcast, the former Secretary of State said she would willingly put Trump’s name forward if he could end the war without allowing Russian President Vladimir Putin to take Ukrainian territory.
“If he could bring about the end to this terrible war… if he could end it without putting Ukraine in a position where it had to concede its territory to the aggressor… could really stand up to Putin,” she said.
Clinton added that the upcoming Alaska summit could be Trump’s chance to make it clear to Putin that there must be a ceasefire, there will be no exchange of territory between Russia and Ukraine.
“If President Trump were the architect of that, I’d nominate him for a Nobel Peace Prize. Because my goal here is to not allow capitulation to Putin,” she said.

Her remarks came ahead of Trump’s meeting with Putin in Alaska on Friday to discuss the future of conflict-torn Ukraine. Trump has described the meeting as a step toward ending Russia’s war, suggesting a territorial swap could be part of a deal.
The US president, asked by a reporter if territorial swaps are on the table, said: “They will be discussed, but I’ve got to let Ukraine make that decision, and I think they’ll make a proper decision.”
“But I’m not here to negotiate for Ukraine,” Trump said, adding that if he weren’t president, Putin would take all of Ukraine. “But he’s not going to do it,” Trump added.
Trump also said his main objective is to bring Putin to the negotiating table, not to strike a deal on behalf of Ukraine, and that the meeting could be over in minutes if Putin refuses to compromise.
Clintons subpoenaed in Epstein probe
Meanwhile, the House Oversight Committee, led by Republican James Comer, has issued legal summonses to Bill and Hillary Clinton and several former US attorneys general as part of its investigation into Jeffrey Epstein’s history and federal handling of the case.
The panel is seeking documents from the Justice Department on Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, including records on sex trafficking, past prosecutions, and a 2007 non-prosecution deal. Bill Clinton is set for an October deposition.
