Gujarat Lok Sabha Elections 2024: The pollings on 25 of the 26 Lok Sabha seats in the state of Gujarat concluded in phase 3 on Tuesday, May 7, with a total voter turnout percentage of just 59.51 per cent, which is significantly low from the 2019 voter turnout percentage of 64.51, recorded by the home state of current PM Narendra Modi. Notably, only 25 of the 26 seats from Gujarat went for polling in 2024, as on the Surat seat, BJP’s Mukesh Dalal was declared winner unopposed after the nomination of the Congress candidate was deemed invalid, and the other contestants from the seat also withdrew their name from before the elections. The results of rest 25 seats will be announced with other states on Tuesday, June 4.
Gujarat being the domicile state of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, who are two biggest pillars of the ruling government of BJP, has become one of the most sought states during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections. For the BJP. who swept all the seats during the 2019 elections in the state, it becomes a matter of pride to continue the dominance in the home state of their biggest leader.

How many phases Gujarat will have?
The Lok Sabha Elections in the state of Gujarat are usually organised in a single phase, and the 2024 Lok Sabha election is going to be no different, as the state will have all its seats contested in a single phase, i.e., phase 3.
How many Lok Sabha constituencies Gujarat has?
Along with being the home state of the Prime Minister, Gujarat also holds a total of 26 Lok Sabha seats which only increases the significance of the mega elections in the state even further.
