Kirit Solanki biography
Kirit Premjibhai Solanki, born on 17th June 1950 in Kamboi, Gujarat, is a Member of Parliament from the 17th Lok Sabha of India. He represents Gujarat's Ahmedabad West Lok Sabha constituency as a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
He was born to Premjibhai Solanki and Shantaben Solanki. From Smt. N.H.L. Municipal Medical College and K.M. School of Post Graduate Medicine and Research, Sheth V.S. General Hospital, Ahmedabad; B.J. Medical College and Civil Hospital, Ahmedabad; and Fellow of International College of Surgeons, he earned his M.B.B.S., M.S., and F.I.C.S. degrees. He spent 38 years as a surgery professor before entering politics.
His political career began with the Bharatiya Janata Party. He has been elected to the 15th, 16th, and 17th Lok Sabha1. He has held various positions, including Member of the Parliament of India (Lok Sabha) for Ahmedabad West.
In the 2014 Indian general election, he was elected as the Member of Parliament in the Lok Sabha from Ahmedabad West, Gujarat1. He won the 2014 Indian general election, being a Bharatiya Janata Party candidate1. He was re-elected in the 2019 Indian general elections.
