Devusinh Chauhan biography

Devusinh Jesingbhai Chauhan, popularly known as Devusinh Chauhan, is a prominent figure in the political landscape of Gujarat. He is currently serving as the Minister of State for Communications of India. He is a member of the 17th Lok Sabha from Kheda (Lok Sabha constituency), Gujarat.

Chauhan was born on 29th October 1964 in Kheda, Gujarat. He completed his Diploma in Electrical Engineering from the Government Polytechnic College in Porbandar, Gujarat. Before joining politics, he worked as an engineer in Akashwani Kendra, an organisation under the Government of India, for thirteen years.

He started his political career with the Bharatiya Janata Party and became a three-time member of the parliament of the Kheda constituency, winning the 2009, 2014, and 2019 Lok Sabha elections. He took oath as a Minister of State for Communications on 7 July 2021 during Narendra Modi’s ministry expansion at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
