Bank Holidays in India, August 2024: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has announced the bank holidays for August, applicable across India, both for public and private banks.
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) determines all bank holidays under the Negotiable Instruments Act, Real-Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) holidays, and bank account closure restrictions.
In August 2024, banks across India will observe a total of 13 non-working days. This includes regional and state-specific holidays designated by the respective state governments, as well as the mandatory closures on the second and fourth Saturdays and Sundays of the month.
