Watch: Struggling artist works as Zomato agent in Mumbai, shares video of his Rs 500 room in slum

Pranjoy Borgoyary, a struggling artist who moved to Mumbai from the Northeast, now works as a Zomato delivery agent and lives in a Mumbai slum where he pays Rs 500 rent. Borgoyary recently gave a tour of his room, which is now being shared on the Internet.

In the viral video, Borgoyary takes his viewers through a narrow lane. “It’s suffocating,” he says in the video. As he reaches the end of the lane, he climbs an iron staircase leading to his small and dingy room. The video shows stained walls, a kitten in one corner and clothes hung all over.

“Struggling artist in Mumbai,” he wrote on Instagram.

With over 4 million views on the platform, the video sparked chatter among social media users. Many suggested him to opt for modelling as he resembles K-pop singers. Reacting to it, a user wrote, “They’re taking care of a kitten as well. There is no dearth of kindness.” Another user commented, “The fact that he is still smiling! Not an ounce of frustration. Plus the kindness to take care of a little animal. Kudos. I hope and pray you make it big one day.”

Borgoyary is an aspiring singer and a state-level football player.
