Happy birthday Sachin Tendulkar: Gambhir, Raina, Jay Shah share heartfelt wishes for ‘master blaster’, Yuvraj’s video wish goes viral

Sachin Tendulkar, who made his debut in 1989 against Pakistan, is arguably one of the most famous cricketers to walk this planet. In India, Tendulkar is not only synonymous to the game, he is practically both religion and God.

April 24 is Tendulkar’s birthday. He has turned 51 today. On his birthday, former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh shared a heartfelt video for Tendulkar on X. Sharing the video, Singh wrote, “Happy birthday paaji! From smashing bowlers on the field to smashing life goals, you’re the reason I learned to aim higher in life (and sometimes on the field too). Here’s wishing you loads of love, good health and happiness always.”

The video amassed over 90,000 views with fans reacting to it. “Incredible Sachin! Have inspired a generation,” a user commented. “Happy birthday to legends of legends. Sir Sachin,” another fan wrote.

The video opens with Singh sharing his experience of having played with Tendulkar for team India. “Sachin brings a lot of humbleness and humility to himself and the game. Always helpful, always there for youngsters,” he said in the video. “Things were not going well for me. I always looked up to him and he always helped me, backed me. He was always there for me,” he said in the video.

Former cricketer Suresh Raina shared a rare photo of him with Tendulkar on X and wrote, “Happy Birthday Paji! Your legendary career has inspired millions and your grace both on and off the field continues to set the bar. Wishing you health, happiness, and a year as splendid as your cover drives!”

Former cricketer Gautam Gambhir also extended birthday wishes to Tendulkar. In a post on X, he wrote. “Many happy returns of the day! May god bless you with a long and healthy life!”

Jay Shah, BCCI Secretary and Home Minister Amit Shah’s son, wrote on X, “Happy Birthday to the legend of cricket @sachin_rt as he turns 51 today! He has inspired millions worldwide with his heroics with the bat and immaculate display of character both on and off the field. Warmest wishes to the Master Blaster!”

Fondly known as ‘Master Blaster’, Tendulkar made his debut at the age of 16, becoming the youngest Indian cricket player to play an international match.
