Suspended from the ruling TMC just days ahead of him going ahead with his plan to lay the foundation stone of a Babri Masjid-like in Murshidabad despite the party’s objection, Kabir has been claiming to attract Muslim support, a key base of TMC’s voter base.

Mamata to meet TMC BLAs
As the second phase of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls is underway in West Bengal with the Election Commission starting the verification drive, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will meet her party BLAs (Booth Level Agents) in Kolkata. Meanwhile, According to sources, the Chief Minister will meet with BLAs from select Assembly constituencies in Kolkata and neighbouring districts on Monday. Along with the 11 Assembly seats in Kolkata, BLAs from specific constituencies in North and South 24 Parganas, Howrah, and Hooghly have been called to the meeting.

Leader of the Opposition and BJP MLA Suvendu Adhikari will be present at the State Assembly around the same time. BJP sources indicated that he has summoned several party MLAs to the Assembly. The BJP parliamentary team will closely monitor the chief minister’s address to BLAs.
