In a heartwarming video going viral online, passengers are seen dancing to the beats of a dhol as a train driver is given a joyous sendoff on his last day at work.
A page named Mumbai Railway Users (@mumbairailusers) took to X, formerly Twitter, to share the video of passengers dancing as they celebrated the motorman’s retirement. The caption of the video mentioned that the motorman drove the local train for the last time on his retirement day. It said he performed his duty diligently and put in many years of service “without a snag”.

In March, a similar video went viral that showed a group of middle-aged men singing a mashup of Lata Mangeshkar’s songs inside a train compartment. Before that, in September last year, a video showing a group of women performing an impromptu Garba inside a Mumbai local train had surfaced online.
