This marriage proposal during Taylor Swift’s concert has divided netizens

US pop royalty Taylor Swift finally commenced her much-awaited Eras Tour on Friday in Arizona. The sold-out concert had songs from all of her 10 albums. A video is going viral showing a marriage proposal that took place when “Love Story”, one of her very first hits, was playing.

In the video, a man gets on one knee with a ring as his partner accepts the proposal by embracing him. The proposal was timed in such a way that the guy pulled out the ring when Swift was singing the lyrics, “He knelt to the ground and pulled out a ring, and said, Marry me, Juliet”.

This proposal clip was first posted on TikTok but has now gone viral across the internet.

“My standards and expectations have just risen,” a Twitter user wrote. Another user commented, “I only hope that she accepted because she really wanted to and not because she felt pressured. I really do not trust men who make these public marriage proposals.”

However, many Swifties (Taylor Swift fans) also jokingly noted that they would ideally not like to be interrupted during the concert by a proposal. A Twitter user wrote, “out of all moments he chose to propose during a taylor swift concert? girl, don’t disturb her! ”. Another user said, “babe not now taylor swift is performing”.
