A video of a car without a number plate attempting to escape a checkpoint in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, is stirring up attention on social media. The incident occurred near the Sindhu Bhavan Road.
The viral video captures a tense chase between the man and police officers at a checkpoint. The footage begins as the man notices the cops and immediately reverses his car to avoid being stopped. As the cops sprint after the vehicle in an attempt to catch him, the man manages to escape. As the video progresses, it shows the accused—nabbed by the cops—apologising in front of the camera.
“A car without a number plate escaped during a check on Sindhu Bhavan Road but was later caught by Ahmedabad Police. The HSRP number plate was installed on the car, and the owner issued a public apology,” the viral post read.

Several social media users reacted to the video, demanding stringent action against such a nuisance. “How do such people get this power to act like hooligans. They have a back-up but bcaz of social media police is forced to act. Otherwise 1000 of such cases get overlooked,” a user wrote.
“this is life threatening.. he could have killed some police men.. He should be thrown in jail,” another user commented.
“Issued an apology? It’s that easy to break half a dozen traffic laws, flee and almost run over cops?” a third user said.
