The Congress leader arrived in Hyderabad Saturday afternoon to attend Messi’s programme at the Rajiv Gandhi International (RGI) Stadium as part of the tour. Messi’s Hyderabad stint stood in stark contrast to the chaos witnessed in Kolkata.

According to news agency PTI, Messi captivated a nearly packed Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, delighting fans by showcasing the skills that have made him one of the greatest players in the sport. As he entered the stadium, the World Cup-winning Argentine captain was greeted by deafening cheers from the fans.

“I am very happy to be in Hyderabad in the midst of all the love and affection shown by you all,” Messi said through a translator while addressing the audience.

Messi, along with Inter Miami teammates Luiz Suarez and Rodrigo de Paul, participated in a GOAT Cup penalty shootout. Chief Minister Reddy also joined the event dressed in football attire. The players later conducted football clinics for children before departing the stadium, PTI reported.
