Parry murder case: One more held for giving shelter to assailants

The Chandigarh Police has arrested another person allegedly involved in giving shelter to the assailants before they killed Inderpreet Singh, alias Parry.
The accused, identified as Sunny Kumar, 35, was arrested from Kharar, (Mohali). Police said that the accused had been absconding since the commission of the crime.
Police said that “he knowingly provided shelter and logistical support to the main accused involved in murder of Inderpreet Singh, alias Parry, prior to the commission of crime”.
The police also claimed to have recovered one country-made (star made) pistol and two live cartridges from his possession.
Further investigation is underway to ascertain the role of shooters, who stayed at his residence and to recover additional evidence related to the crime, said a police official.
Police sources said that from November 21 to 30, Sunny allegedly gave shelter to the assailants in Ludhiana.
Earlier, Rahul Sharma was arrested from Sector 24, Chandigarh, in connection with the murder. A resident of Kharar, Rahul was an important link in providing logistics for the commission of crime, said the police.

Parry, known for his association with gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar, was shot dead by unidentified assailants at Timber Market in Sector 26 on Monday evening. He was found critically injured inside a Kia Seltos SUV and succumbed to his injuries at PGIMER, Chandigarh.
An FIR for murder and under the Arms Act was registered at Sector 26 police station, Chandigarh.
