Leopards are widely found in India and often stray into areas inhabited by humans. To avoid animal-human conflict, wildlife officials rescue the strayed big cats and release them back into the wild.

Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer Parveen Kaswan shared another such video of a rescued leopard being released into a forest. The clip shows a leopard being released from a cage on the back of a small pickup truck. As soon as the leopard realises it is being set free, it runs toward the forest.

Kaswan shared the clip with the caption, “That leopard was in some hurry. Successfully rescued & released in wild. Without any untoward incident. Yesterday night by our teams. Forest is a 24X7 job.”

Posted Sunday, the video has received more than 29,000 views and netizens lauded the efforts of the forest department.

“Well done. Nothing better than successfully releasing a wild animal back in the wild. Kudos to the team,” commented a user. “Loved the way forest folks are working, Full Energy and passion towards work!!” said another. “Not at all easy that too during night time,” shared another netizen.

In March, a video showing a leopard and a black panther walking next to each other went viral. This viral clip was taken by famed wildlife photographer Shaaz Jung in Karnataka.

In the video, the leopard named Cleo and the black panther Saya pause to intently gaze at the camera. Cleo and Saya look the same in height and size, and combined with their almost coordinated moves gives an illusion that Saya is actually the shadow of Cleo.
