Top 10 self made entrepreneurs of of the millennia 2025 list: India is rapidly evolving its startup ecosystem to become a global hub for innovation and entrepreneurship, with its self-made entrepreneurs now having a total business value of Rs 42 lakh crore, a rise from Rs 36 lakh crore in the last year, according to the latest IDFC FIRST Private & Hurun India Top 200 Self-Made Entrepreneurs of the Millennia 2025 report released on Wednesday.

The report features entrepreneurs across 51 cities in India, with Bengaluru, Mumbai, and New Delhi together accounting for more than half the list.

Deepinder Goyal, CEO of Zomato and district parent company Eternal, led the list for the first time, overtaking veteran investor Radhakishan Damani, the founder of DMart parent Avenue Supermarts, who now follows in second.

Rahul Bhatia and Rakesh Gangwal of InterGlobe Aviation notably made a strong debut, jumping directly to the top 3 this year, with a valuation of Rs 2.2 lakh crore.

Additionally, Falguni Nayar and Adwaita Nayar, the founders of Nykaa, not only retained their position in the Top 10 but also topped the list of women entrepreneurs of the millennium 2025 list.

Also, Peyush Bansal’s Lenskart achieved a significant leap this year, ranking in the 10th position for the first time, with a valuation of Rs 67,000 crore.

India saw a rise of young founders driving entrepreneurship, with Zepto’s founders, Kaivalya Vohra, 22, and Aadit Palicha, 23, leading as the youngest entrepreneurs.

Meanwhile, Happiest Minds Technologies’ Ashok Soota, 82, is at the forefront of the list of veteran founders who continue to lead with experience and vision.
