Bengaluru’s notorious traffic and the frequent struggle to book cabs through ride-hailing apps are all too familiar to its residents. But when faced with long wait times on Uber and Ola, one commuter, Pathik, came up with an unconventional solution—he booked a ride on Porter, an app typically used for transporting goods.
Sharing his experience on social media, Pathik posted a photo of himself riding pillion on a Porter two-wheeler, with the delivery partner in front and the company’s branding visible on the helmet. His caption? A witty take on his situation: “Had to porter myself to office today because no Ola, Uber.”

Bengaluru’s tales of traffic doesn’t stop to amuse. In another incident, a man stuck on a flyover in Bengaluru was taken aback when he received a message from Rapido checking on his well-being. In a social media post, he shared the surprising moment, mentioning how the message arrived after his auto rickshaw was stationary for a while.
