Australia’s new Deputy High Commissioner to India Nicholas McCaffrey started his stint with a bang after he posted a video of himself driving an auto-rickshaw that had a Tricolour painted on its front wheel. Greeting with folded hands, McCaffrey said, “I am thrilled to be starting my posting as Deputy High Commissioner working with our excellent High Commissioner Philip Green. Namaste.” “Terrific to start as Australia’s Deputy High Commissioner in India, replacing the irrepressible Sarah Storey. Look forward to working with #TeamAustralia in India, under the leadership of @AusHCIndia Philip Green,” he wrote on X. He began the post by writing ‘Namaste India’ in Hindi.
