We all had that one favourite teacher in school who believed in us and encouraged us to follow our dreams. No matter how old you get, you still remember that teacher and cherish the memories of studying in school.

School teachers shape the future of a lot of students and when they retire, it feels like the end of an era. In a heartening gesture, a teacher who retired after 35 years was given a beautiful tribute by his students and co-workers.

Popular Instagram page Good News Movement posted the video Friday and it has received more than 7.36 lakh views. “After 35 years in the classroom, this teacher retires and received a beautiful tribute from students and co-workers,” a text insert in the video says.

The students and co-workers lined up in the hallway and applauded the teacher as he walked out of school for the last time. The teacher seemed overwhelmed and had to control his tears as he waved to everyone. While the page didn’t mention the location of the video, a netizen said it was from Brazil.

Netizens loved the video and wished such celebrations became more common.
