A late-night mishap turned into comedy gold for a Pune man and his friends after they accidentally locked themselves out on their own balcony, and came up with a wildly unconventional rescue plan that the internet can’t stop laughing about.

The incident was shared on Instagram by Mihir Gahukar, whose viral video features the caption, “We got locked in our own balcony at 3 am, so we did this.” What followed was a solution no one saw coming.

The clip shows one of the friends calmly speaking to a Blinkit delivery agent on the phone, explaining that they were stranded outside while the parents of one of them slept soundly inside the house. With no way to wake them up or access the locked door, the group decided to enlist help— from a delivery agent.

Speaking to indianexpress.com, Gahukar said he and two friends were stuck on the balcony around 3 am, with the house locked from the inside. Thinking quickly, they places an order on the quick commerce platform and when the rider came for the delivery, they guided the Blinkit delivery agent step by step over the phone, instructing him on how to use the spare key, unlock the main door, and enter quietly without alerting anyone.

The video then cuts to the moment the agent successfully opens the door and walks towards the balcony. As soon as they spot him, Gahukar and his friend break into laughter, visibly relieved by the unexpected rescue and the sheer absurdity of the situation.

Reactions poured in soon. An Instagram user joked, “Imagine your parents woke up to see him entering the house.” Blinkit joined in on the fun too, commenting, “This can only happen in Pune.”
