Do you remember the iconic battle for YouTube supremacy between PewDiePie and T-Series from August 29, 2018, to April 28, 2019? T-Series finally won the battle for the most-subscribed channel on YouTube. Now another famous YouTuber, James Stephen Donaldson, better known as MrBeast, is reigniting the feud with T-Series. MrBeast took to microblogging platform X, formerly Twitter, to share that T-Series with 247 million subscribers is the most-subscribed YouTube channel. MrBeast has now the second-most subscribed channel with 174 million. “I’m doing this for Pewdiepie,” he posted on August 5, renewing the battle for the most-subscribed YouTube channel. PewDiePie even released a diss track called “Bitch Lasagna” against T-Series and many fellow YouTubers voiced their support for him. However, on March 27, 2019, T-Series became the most-subscribed YouTube channel for five consecutive days before PewDiePie regained the lead. Then on March 29, T-Series overtook him permanently reaching 100 million subscribers. PewDiePie’s diss track was also criticised for some ‘derogatory lyrics’ about Indians. Many of PewDiePie’s fans had engaged in spamming and trolling the T-Series channel with comments related to PewDiePie and disliking videos. MrBeast recently claimed that his latest video ‘7 Days Stranded At Sea’ became the most-watched non-music video on YouTube in 24 hours. The video was posted on August 5. On Tuesday, the 25-year-old content creator shared a screenshot that showed a 46 million view count on his YouTube video and wrote, “New video broke the world record for most views in 24 hours on a non music video! I’m living the life I would dream of every night when I was 13.. I love all of you and thank you so much for watching our videos!!! I’ll never take you all for granted.”
