Man vs Machine: Video of machine chef sauteing vegetables awes netizens

The clip was posted on Twitter by a woman named Figen (@TheFigen_) on June 26 and it has amassed over 5.8 million views. The video shows a wok on a flame attached to a machine. The machine is seen sauteing and cooking some vegetables in the wok. It is even able to do a perfect flambe during the process.

“They are taking over,” commented a user. “That’s awesome,” said another. “Will the chef mechine be able to tell the taste of food item that it is preparing?” wondered another netizen. “Just want to point out that there’s no point in spinning it that many times. You only need to spin a couple times to get the smoky flavor from the fire,” posted another user.

In May, a Nigerian chef broke the Guinness World Record for the “longest non-stop cooking marathon”. In her attempt, Hilda Baci cooked for 100 hours straight, much longer than the record of 87 hours and 45 minutes set by London-based Indian chef Lata Tondo in 2019.
