An Indian-origin lifestyle creator living in the United States has opened up about how much she made from brand collaborations last year, sparking widespread curiosity online.

Shivee Chauhan, a San Francisco–based working mother with over 2.2 lakh followers on Instagram, shared that she earned around Rs 40 lakh in 2025 purely through brand partnerships. Her content, which resonates strongly with Indian families abroad, centres on everyday life in the US, from skincare and food to travel, careers, and parenting.

In a video breaking down her earnings month by month, Chauhan wrote, “How much I made as a lifestyle content creator in 2025. These are brand partnerships totals only and do not include digital sales.” According to her, January brought in Rs 3.8 lakh, followed by Rs 20,000 in February and Rs 5 lakh in March. She went on to earn Rs 3.8 lakh in April, Rs 5.26 lakh in May, Rs 2.6 lakh in June, Rs 3.3 lakh in July, Rs 5 lakh in August, Rs 1.8 lakh in September, Rs 2.1 lakh in October, Rs 3.7 lakh in November, and Rs 3.5 lakh in December.

Chauhan also explained that she didn’t chase brand deals early on. Instead, she prioritised consistency and authenticity, which eventually led brands to approach her.

Responding to a follower who asked how she connected with companies, she said, “I focused on creating content, and generally brands reach out to me via my email in the bio.”

The video triggered questions around visas and monetisation in the US. Addressing one such query, “How can you earn in USA as content creator given visa restrictions?” Chauhan clarified, “That’s right, we can’t monetize on H1B, L1, or F1. I am a US permanent resident.” She further noted that her income comes in both dollars and rupees, adding, “As I answered elsewhere, I earn both in USD and INR, so to just keep the numbers simple. A 50-50 split is a good assumption.”

When asked about her journey and how long it took to reach these earnings, Chauhan revealed that she has been creating content for five years. She also shared that her income in 2023 and 2024 stood at roughly Rs 25 lakh each, highlighting the steady growth behind her success.
