The tweet by French army showing its man training in rain won hearts online for their brilliant tweet.
US President Donald Trump was in France to mark the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I. However, the president cancelled his planned visit to the Ainse-Marne American Cemetery in Belleau, where he was expected to lay a wreath and pay tribute to Americans soldiers killed in the war. The first couple was supposed to travel to the site via helicopter. However, they called off the plan at the last minute due to bad weather. The bad weather cited by the White House was a steady rain, and the president not visiting the cemetery created a storm online.
“(Their attendance) has been cancelled due to scheduling and logistical difficulties caused by the weather,” the White House said in a statement, adding that a delegation led by Chief of Staff John Kelly, a retired general, went instead.
While many were angered by Trump’s decision and alleged that he had “dishonoured” fallen US servicemen, others trolled him. Leading the list is the French Army, who may have roasted the US President with a tweet from its official handle. “There’s rain, but it’s not serious. We’re staying motivated,” they tweeted with a rain-soaked soldier crawling under a hurdle.

Many of Trump’s critics wondered why there was no alternative route available for him to attend the event. Others shared photos of Obama attending multiple events despite being soaked in the rain.

Trump will not visit Arlington cemetery on Veteran’s Day as rain is expected.
But please, tell me again how kneeling NFL players are disrespecting the troops.

Now Trump won’t brave the rain to visit Arlington cemetery on Veterans Day? Hmmm. I’m starting to wonder if aliens haven’t somehow possessed his body and the body casing reacts badly with H2O.

If you walked your dog in the rain, or even just walked to your car, you are officially braver than Trump.

Unlike Trump, a little rain never stopped President Obama from honoring our fallen war heroes on Veterans Day pic.twitter.com/hmukEpsnrV

Maybe it could just rain forever, and Donald Trump could stay inside and never bother us again.

Makes sense Trump cancelled an event in the rain when you remember he’s an adult who doesn’t know how to open or close an umbrella. pic.twitter.com/3VVv7CwEwX
