Internet — the best kind of net that people can’t live without. (Source: Thinkstock images)
As we question and debate the consequences of the end of net neutrality, Twitterati seem to have gotten into a rather introspective mode as they attempt to describe what the Internet means to them, or what it stands for — all this, in just four words. Of course, as we all contemplate if we’ll now have to pay for each Google search that we do, or bid goodbye to hours of free movie streaming (or binge-watching Game of Thrones), Tweeple have been coming up with real, sentimental and sarcastic (of course) definitions of the World Wide Web.
Using the hashtag #DescribeTheInternetIn4Words, Twitterverse has been engaging at a look-back at the virtues of the Internet – while some are funny and witty other are little dark and complex but it’s almost everything we can relate to. Here are some of our favourite.
