Companies that go above and beyond for their employees are rare. However, a China-based crane company is turning heads with its recent stint in giving bonuses to their employees. Henan Mine Crane Co Ltd recently laid out 60 million yuan (over Rs 70 crore) in cash on a 70-metre-long table, asking employees to grab as much as they could count as their bonuses but within 15 minutes. A video of the event is now viral and shows a huge table decorated with cash. The employees are seen counting the cash to take home. According to worldofbuzz.com, employees were divided into a team of 30. Each team had to choose two employees who could quickly count the money collected by the other team members. A lucky employee managed to grab 100,000 yuan (over Rs 12 lakh) as bonus. “This year, the company sold more than 128,000 cranes, with a net profit of 260 million yuan (about RM160 million). There is no pressure to pay out a year-end bonus of 100 million yuan (about RM60 million),” The Sun quoted the company’s president. Sharing the video, an Instagram handle @mothershipsg wrote, “admin wishes everybody heng ong huat ah!” Watch here: View this post on Instagram A post shared by Mothership (@mothershipsg) The video garnered more than a million views and numerous reactions. “Same as my company. But instead of money they give tons of workload,” a user wrote. “This is the kind of paperwork I want, but the company had other plans,” another user commented. “This is really inspiring and grand,” a third user reacted. “You can just credit into the worker’s accounts instead of this circus act. Kind insulting. But it’s a different world behind the Great Wall,” another user said. In October 2024, a Chennai-based company made headlines for gifting 28 cars and 29 bikes to its employees to “boost morale”. The vehicles include cars ranging from Hyundai, Maruti Suzuki, Tata, and Mercedes Benz.
