Following Elon Musk-owned Twitter’s footprint, social media behemoth Meta recently enabled users to get their Meta accounts (Facebook and Instagram) verified with a blue tick for $14.99 a month in the US. Now, according to reports, Meta Verified will cost Rs 1,450/month on mobile devices and the same will cost Rs 1,099/month if subscribed from a web browser.
Just like the Twitter Blue subscription, Meta verified will add a blue checkmark to Instagram and Facebook accounts. Right now, Meta verified is currently in the beta phase, and interested users have to join the waiting list to get their Facebook and Instagram accounts verified.
Besides adding a blue tick mark to the profile, the Meta verified accounts will also get additional features and capabilities like proactive protection, direct customer support, increased reach, and exclusive extras. Do note that, right now, Meta verified is not available for businesses and people younger than 18 years old.
Any Facebook and Instagram user who is at least 18 years old can get their account verified. Users with either a public or private profile can get their account with minimum activity can get their account verified. Similarly, one also needs to submit a govt ID with a matching name and picture as a verification document.
Go to about.meta.com/technologies/meta-verified and click on Facebook or Instagram and log in. Click on join the waiting list, and you will get an email once your account is ready for verification.
