WhatsApp is getting a bunch of new sticker related features. In a blog post, the Meta owned instant messaging platform announced that the latest update will allow users to use stickers from GIPHY and use and create their very own stickers. As the name suggests, the Custom Sticker Maker tool lets you “turn your photos into personalized stickers or customize existing ones using the editing tools.” Once you create a sticker, it will be automatically saved in the sticker tray for easy access. The company also said that it has partnered with GIPHY and integrated stickers directly into WhatsApp, allowing users to find and send their favourite stickers without having to leave the app. To use the new GIPHY integration, simply tap on the sticker icon and start searching by typing in or using an emoji. Meta also introduced a new “Sticker Organization” feature that lets you quickly preview sticker packs in the sticker tray, which appears just below your downloaded stickers. Users can also customise their sticker tray by tapping and holding a sticker to move it to the top or remove it. In case you are unable to find the perfect sticker, you can use the recently rolled out Meta AI to generate a sticker from scratch and share with your friends and family. In the last few weeks, WhatsApp was reportedly working on bringing several new features like the ability to reshare status updates, react to messages by double tapping them and sharing files without internet connection.
