Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) pacer Mohammed Siraj was seen involved in a heated exchange with Delhi Capitals opening batters Phil Salt where David Warner intervened on Saturday at the Arjun Jaitley stadium in Delhi.

The incident occurred in the 5th over of the innings when Salt hit Siraj for three back-to-back boundaries. The pacer got frustrated and bowled a bouncer which the umpire deemed wide.

Unhappy with the decision, Siraj went to Salt and gave him a mouthful. The Capitals skipper Warner tried to settle the matter, however, Siraj treated him the same way as well.

The 29-year-old was seen making gestures and asked Salt to be quiet.

However, It was Salt who won the battle at the end of the day as he came up with an outrageous display of ball striking as Delhi Capitals kept themselves alive in the Indian Premier League with a thumping seven-wicket win over RCB.

Salt smashed Siraj in the Powerplay. The RCB seamer went for 28 runs in his first two overs and was not used again. The aggressive opener after the game in the press conference said by attacking RCB’s ace pacer Mohammed Siraj, “It sends a calm message to the dressing room as he is their best bowler.”

On the hand, Virat Kohli completed his ‘homecoming’ with a landmark fifty before Mahipal Lomror came up with a career-best knock to take Royal Challengers Bangalore to 181 for four.

Needing to win every game from here on to have a shot at a playoff berth, Delhi’s overseas batters played fearlessly to gun down the total in 16.4 overs. Besides Salt’s sensational 87 off 45 balls, David Warner Mitchell Marsh and Rilee Rossouw produced timely cameos.
