Shatrughan Sinha talks of Bihari-Bahari, says ‘captain’ must take blame

If I was made the chief ministerial candidate, the party would have got more seats. I don’t know if we would have won, but we would have won more than this,” Shatrughan Sinha said.

A day after BJP was trounced in the Bihar assembly polls, the party’s Patna Sahib MP and actor Shatrughan Sinha met Nitish Kumar and Lalu Prasad at their Patna homes and said the BJP would have performed better had he been projected as the chief ministerial candidate.

“I am dhartiputra, a real Biharibabu… If I was made the chief ministerial candidate, the party would have got more seats. I don’t know if we would have won, but we would have won more than this,” he said.

“Nitishbabu has managed to earn a great victory and has survived anti-incumbency. He is a successful chief minister,” he told reporters outside Lalu’s residence.
