India Election Results 2019: As the final election results were declared late on Thursday, a sizable number of them, including Hema Malini, Gautam Gambhir, and Sunny Deol, are all set to attend Parliament this year.
Altogether 18 candidates are in the fray for the constituency, which covers the entire Patna city and a part of the outskirts, though the contest is being viewed as essentially a straight one between the actor-turned-politician and Prasad.
Patna Sahib: "The Kayastha community believes that if Shatrughan Sinha loses Lok Sabha elections, they will have one less representative in Parliament. Since R S Prasad is already a sitting MP, Sinha must be re-elected from Patna Saheb,” said Ajay Verma, general secretary of Chitragupta Society.
In a tight battle between two Kayasthas for the Patna Sahib seat— two-term incumbent Sinha and BJP Rajya Sabha MP Ravi Shankar Prasad — the film star retained almost no party workers when he crossed over. He’s now left with his core team and his family.
Shatrughan Sinha said, "I call a spade a spade but I must admit that PM Modi has an extraordinary energy level. As far as his two great schemes are concerned, these are Swachhata Mission and Jan Dhan."

Sinha also urged people not to comment on Pathankot attack as it is a sensitive issue and different opinions can further deteriorate the situation.
