Minutes after withdrawing support to the H D Kumaraswamy government, BJP leader B S Yediyurappa launched a scathing attack on JDS supremo H D Devegowda and the Chief Minister, announcing that he would tour the entire state from tomorrow to explain the 8220;betrayal8221; of the JDS on the power transfer issue.

Addressing party workers at a public meeting after submitting to Governor Rameshwar Thakur, the letter of withdrawal of support, a combative Yediyurappa demanded that Kumaraswamy apologise to the people by this evening for not transferring power to the BJP.

8220;We will go to the people. By evening, he Kumaraswamy has to apologise to the people for committing the crime8221;, he said adding that the BJP would organise processions and public meetings at district headquarters from tomorrow.

Yediyurappa appealed to JDS MLAs who are unhappy with that party8217;s decision to not transfer power, to support the BJP, which is now looking at getting a majority on its own in the coming elections.

Listing the decisions taken by him as finance minister regarding loan waiver, giving loans to farmers at four per cent interest and the ban on arrack, among others, he asked Devegowda: 8220;Are these not achievements ?8221;.

By not transferring power to the BJP, Devegowda has 8216;spoilt8217; the political future of his son Kumaraswamy, he said.

BJP leader Ananth Kumar and BJP state unit President, D V Sadananda Gowda also sharply criticised Deve Gowda and Kumaraswamy, highlighting the 8220;betrayal8221; of JDS.
