Y S Rajasekhara Reddys son Y S Jaganmohan Reddy is apparently cold-shouldering family friend of 43 years and YSRs confidant K V P Ramachandra Rao. KVP,who initially encouraged Jaganmohan to stake his claim for the chief ministers post, changed his mind after warnings from the Congress high command. However,by that time Jaganmohan had already crossed swords with Chief Minister K Rosaiah and the high command over his Telangana yatra. Things came to a head when Congress leaders approached KVP to advise Jaganmohan to cancel his tour. Kin of Telangana martyrs get bypoll tickets
After the Telangana Rashtra Samiti TRS,it is now the turn of the Telugu Desam Party TDP to give two Assembly tickets to family members of those students who allegedly committed suicide during pro-Telangana agitations. With the Congress and the TDP also contesting the Telangana bypolls, the TRS,which is not sure if it would be able to retain its 10 seats, came up with this idea. Now,the TDP has followed suit with its chief N Chandrababu Naidu suggesting that by fielding family members of Telangana martyrs, the party, which is against the bifurcation of the state, will be seen as sympathetic to the Telangana cause. Bypolls to 12 Assembly constituencies were necessitated after MLAs resigned in favour of a separate Telangana.
CM Building brand Andhra Pradesh
After Gujarat, the state is making efforts to build Brand Andhra Pradesh. While Hyderabad is still the favoured IT destination, the state government unveiled Industrial Policy 2010-15 that envisages improving Andhras image and achieving a growth rate of 12-17 per cent in the manufacturing sector. The new industrial policy aims to make Andhra the best investment destination in the country, Chief Minister K Rosaiah said. Like Gujarat, the new policy would offer better incentives to investors than any other state to attract more investments. With an eye on Telangana,Rosaiah said this policy would correct the regional imbalances and leverage the strengths in different sectors.
