In the run-up to the Lok Sabha elections 2019, leaders of Opposition parties are once again getting together for a mega rally in a bid to showcase a united third front to take on Prime Narendra Modi-led NDA government.
The panel is learnt to have recommended in its draft report that the commitment made by former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on the floor of the House to grant special status to the state must be honoured.
Amit Shah, who launched the BJP’s campaign in the state by flagging off a “Praja Chaitanya Yatra’’, said Naidu will try to rejoin the NDA “when the BJP returns to power” after the Lok Sabha polls. “But this time, the doors are closed for him,” he asserted.

Chandrababu Naidu was also present at the 22nd edition of CII Partnership Summit, which was organised to showcase investment opportunities in ‘Sunrise Andhra Pradesh’. Several MOUs are expected to be signed during the Summit.
