Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) handled a total of 55.5 million passengers in calendar year 2025, marking a year-on-year increase of 1.3% over 54.8 million in 2024 and a 7.6% rise over 2023 figures. The total included 16.3 million international passengers and 39.2 million domestic passengers.
Passenger traffic was highest in January 2025, which saw close to five million travelers, followed by November 2025 with approximately 4.9 million passengers. On 29 November, the airport recorded its highest single-day passenger traffic at 1,75,925. The October–December quarter accounted for 14.36 million passengers, the highest quarterly total of the year.
Air Traffic Movements (ATMs) also recorded new levels with CSMIA recording 3,31,011 ATMs during the year —comprising 92,141 international and 2,38,870 domestic movements. The highest single-day ATM count of 1,036 was recorded on 21 November 2025. Overall, ATMs increased by around 25% compared to 2022.
As the airport expanded its connectivity during the year; new international routes were launched to Almaty, Amman, Bali (Denpasar), Copenhagen, Fujairah, Krabi, Manchester, and Tbilisi. Domestic connections were added to Adampur, Amravati, Hindon, Jharsuguda, Porbandar, and Solapur.
Key international destinations by passenger share were Dubai (15%), London Heathrow (7.5%), and Abu Dhabi (7.5%). For domestic travel, Delhi accounted for 17% of traffic, Bengaluru 10%, and Goa 6%. By region, the Middle East represented 48.8% of international traffic, Asia-Pacific 28.2%, and Europe 14.5%.
The data reflects operational growth in passenger throughput and route expansion across CSMIA’s domestic and international network during CY25.
