Why Gupta was in limelight

THANKS to a directive from the Cabinet Secretariat,Prem Chand Gupta,Minister for Corporate Affairs,managed to get unprecedented media coverage during the fag end of his tenure. When information about the Satyam fraud was being released from many government departments,the Cabinet Secretariat issued a circular informing everyone that the Prime Minister had designated the Corporate Affairs Ministry as the nodal ministry for providing Satyam-related information to the media. The circular said,henceforth,for every big issue,the Government would designate a nodal ministry which would be the single point of interaction with the media.
